Refund Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains when you can cancel an order placed on wellandtrees.com and how refunds work. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Well & Trees is operated by Well&trees Development LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States.
What you are buying
Well & Trees sells a service: we arrange, through our local partners, the construction of a water well or the planting of trees, and we send you proof of completion (GPS coordinates, photos and videos, your name or a loved one’s name on the plaque). Well & Trees is a company, not a charity; your payment is not a donation and is not tax-deductible. Because work in the field starts shortly after your order and involves real costs with our local partners, the rules below apply.
14-day right to cancel
You may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive your order confirmation email.
- If construction or planting has not started when we receive your cancellation, you will receive a full refund.
- If work has already started: by placing an order you expressly ask us to start arranging the service immediately, without waiting for the end of the 14-day period, and you acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed you will lose the right to cancel. If you cancel while the project is in progress, we will refund the price minus an amount proportionate to the service already performed and to the costs already committed with our local partners (materials, teams, plaque). We will tell you the amount before processing the refund.
- Once the well has been completed or the trees have been planted, the service has been fully performed and no refund is due.
For consumers in the United Kingdom, this reflects your rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; for consumers in the European Union, Directive 2011/83/EU. We apply the same 14-day policy to all customers, wherever they live, including in the United States, Canada and Australia.
Force majeure and projects that cannot be carried out
If, for reasons outside our control (armed conflict, natural disaster, epidemic, border closures, administrative refusal, serious insecurity or any other force majeure event), the project cannot be carried out in the planned location, we will contact you and offer you, at your choice:
- to carry out the project in another location or country of equivalent cost; or
- a full refund of the amount paid.
If something goes wrong
If the service was not performed with reasonable care and skill, or does not match the description on the Website (for example the name on the plaque is wrong because of our error, or the proof of completion is missing), tell us at contact@wellandtrees.com. We will repeat or correct the performance at no cost to you, or, where that is not possible, reduce the price or refund you. Consumers in the United Kingdom have these rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; nothing in this policy limits them, nor the equivalent statutory rights of consumers in the European Union, Canada or Australia.
Delays: the timeframes shown on the Website are estimates. A delay does not by itself give rise to a refund, but if a project has not been completed within a reasonable time after the estimated date and we are unable to give you a new, realistic date, you may cancel and receive a refund of the part of the service not yet performed.
How to cancel
Send an email to contact@wellandtrees.com (or write to the postal address above) with your order number, the name used for the order and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may, but do not have to, use this model form:

How refunds are paid
Refunds are made using the same payment method you used for the order (card, PayPal or other) within 14 days of the day we receive your cancellation, in the currency of the original payment. Depending on your bank, the amount may take a few additional days to appear on your statement. We do not charge any fee for a refund; exchange rate differences applied by your bank are outside our control.
